7 PRACTICES FOR THE FUTURE
How can you anticipate and adapt to all of the possibilities in the future and be ready for the changes it brings? Based on years of working on the future with organizations worldwide and hundreds of conversations with experts, scientists, leaders and teams, these 7 practices will allow you to be ready for any possible future. We can train you how to apply these practices so you and your team can create the future you wish to see in an experiential learning program.
The seven practices are about: change, design, strategy, culture, impact, learning and systems. Find out what you can learn with your team on each of these practices.
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
We learn best by doing, Aristotle said. Therefore, we are strong believers in a combination between learning and doing. This approach is known as experiential learning. We operate in the area between the external world and the internal world of the participant. In this so called ’transitional space’ participants in our programs can step out of their role as leaders and enter the space of learning a new capability.
Freed from the expectations from themselves and the system around them, they feel as though they are given permission to test and learn new skills. They get the opportunity to practice and try out new behaviors, discuss alternative approaches, obtain honest feedback and advice, create psychological safety, and assess their limiting beliefs to turn the new learning into action.
